PRESS: VEB asks founder, management of Eurodon to step down

MOSCOW, Sep 6 (PRIME) -- Creditor and key owner of turkey meat producer Eurodon, Vnesheconombank (VEB), wants the executive team to be replaced and founder and CEO Vadim Vaneyev to resign, business daily Kommersant reported on Thursday, citing a source with knowledge of a bank’s letter on the matter.

According to the letter to Vaneyev and Deputy Governor of the Rostov Region Viktor Goncharov, regular undernourishment of birds is a key reason behind persistent diseases. Besides, Eurodon’s debt to VEB exceeds 35 billion rubles.

The bank said it would file for bankruptcy of the company if Vaneyev does not resign.
